Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a skin condition that causes small and often painful lumps to form under the skin. They can break open, or tunnels can form under the skin and drain fluid (fistula). Hidradenitis Suppurativa is most common where skin rubs together: arm pits, groin, buttocks, and breasts.
Study has 13 office visits over the course of approximately 62 weeks.
$1,014.00 in stipend provided if all study visits are attended and completed. Additional stipend is available if electronic diary is completed daily (up to $440.00 additional).
To Qualify, you MUST meet the following INCLUSION CRITERIA:
1.) Age 18 and over
2.) Have at least 3 months previous active H.S.
3.) Have H.S. lesions numbering at least 5 total.
To Qualify, you must NOT meet the following EXCLUSION CRITERIA:
1.) Greater than 20 active draining tunnels (fistula)
2.) Other inflammatory diseases on the skin that would interfere with the H.S. evaluation.
3.) History of cancers within the last 5 years.
