Hidradenitis Suppurativa is a skin condition that causes small and often painful lumps to form under the skin. They can break open, or tunnels can form under the skin and drain fluid (fistula). Hidradenitis Suppurativa is most common where skin rubs together: armpits, groin, buttocks and breasts.
The study has 14 office visits over the course of approximately 24 weeks. Up to $3,925 in stipend is provided if all regular study visits are attended and completed. You may also be reimbursed for travel expenses that you incur for each completed study visit.
To Qualify, you MUST meet the following INCLUSION CRITERIA:
1.) Age 18 to 70.
2.) Have at least 1 year previous active H.S.
3.) Have H.S. lesions numbering at least 5 total.
To Qualify, you must NOT meet the following EXCLUSION CRITERIA:
1.) Have an active HBV or HCV infection.
2.) Other active skin infections (e.g., bacterial, fungal, or viral) that would interfere with the H.S. evaluation.
3.) History of malignancy (cancer) within the last 5 years.
