Participation Information
Study has 28 office visits over the course of approximately 56 weeks.
$2,996.00 in stipend provided if all regular study visits are attended and completed. Additional stipend is available if electronic diary is completed daily (up to $657.00 additional). Additional stipend is available if actigraphy and photography are completed (up to $219.00 and $180.00 respectfully). Additional stipend is available for travel expenses for study subjects travelling over 90 miles round trip (current Federal Mileage as well as hotel room charge with specific pre-approval).
To Qualify, you MUST meet the following INCLUSION CRITERIA:
1.) Age 18 up to age 75.
2.) Have at least 12 months previous active H.S.
3.) Have H.S. lesions numbering at least 5 total.
To Qualify, you must NOT meet the following EXCLUSION CRITERIA:
1.) Greater than 20 active draining tunnels (sinus tracts)(fistula)
2.) Other inflammatory diseases on the skin that would interfere with the H.S. evaluation.
3.) History of cancers within the last 5 years.
